Mount Sibayak Trip

Mount Sibayak is a stratovolcano located in North Sumatra, Indonesia, near the town of Berastagi in Karo Regency. The mountain stands at approximately 2,212 meters above sea level and is classified as an active volcano. The name “Sibayak” comes from the Karo language and refers to one of the ancient kingdoms in the Karo Highlands, known as the Sibayak Kingdom.

DAY 1 ( X / LUNCH / DINNER )

Arrive at Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) Medan, Transfer to Berastagi by land, stop in Sibolangit for lunch at the Garuda Restaurant. Continue the journey by stopping at the Awan Pancake Strawberry, Visiting Lumbini Nature Park which is a replica of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar. Check-in at the Rudang Resort Hotel. After that you will go to the Sipiso-piso waterfall to see the tall and majestic waterfall from a distance, you can take pictures with the Sipiso-piso waterfall in the background. From here we will continue the journey to the famous Fruit and Flower Market in Berastagi, where you can taste a variety of fresh local produce. Return to the hotel for dinner at the hotel, Free time to relax and enjoy the cool atmosphere of Berastagi city from the hotel.

DAY 2 ( BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER )

03.30 AM Depart for the Sibayak trekking starting point. Trek to the top of Mount Sibayak (approx. 1.5 – 2 hours). Witness the stunning sunrise over the surrounding landscape. Explore the crater area with
its fumaroles and possibly a crater lake. 08.00AM Hike back down to the starting point. Visit the hot springs at the foot of Mount Sibayak for a relaxing soak and breakfast. Journey Back to Medan, Stopover at Sibolangit for lunch at Garuda restaurant. Arrive in Medan. You will be transferred back to Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) or your chosen hotel in Medan to continue your journey.
